PERSEPOLIS!

Thanks to our local awesome comic shop, the Beguiling, we got tickets to an advance screening of Persepolis last week, presented by the French Consulate and the films distributor, Mongrel Media. Marek and I are both big fans of Marjane Satrape's comics, so we were really looking forward to seeing the film. IT'S FANTASTIC! GO SEE IT!
We already knew it would look pretty great from the stills we had seen, but it surpassed my expectations in terms of making the transition from comic to animation. It's an incredibly well crafted brilliant film.

2008!

Here's to a kick ass 2008!

At the end of 2007, my Dad had a heart attack, and spent several weeks in hopsital. Needless to say, we didn't send out any of our usual Xmas animated cards and such, as Christmas was spent in the intensive care unit at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg.

My Dad's a pretty hardy guy, and he's now on the mend and back at home for the time being.

Fortunatey, I am Ukrainian, and we have Ukrainian freinds, so we got to celebrate x mass twice anyways, at two delicious, traditional Ukrainian Christmass dinners here in TO! YUM!!!!!
